ECO POWER ONE – A Milestone for the Energy Transition

ECO POWER ONE, a pioneering battery storage project by ECO STOR GmbH in Bollingstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, marks a significant advancement for the energy transition. With a power capacity of 103.5 MW and an energy capacity of 238.5 MWh, the battery system will make a substantial contribution to grid stability and energy security starting in January 2025.

Project Goals

• Integration of Renewable Energy: Surplus energy from wind and photovoltaic systems is efficiently stored and fed back into the grid as needed.
• Grid Stability: The battery balances grid fluctuations and enhances frequency stability by participating in control reserve markets.
